In-Home Classes

Through in-home cooking classes, you will learn hands-on how to cook the dishes you love to eat in the comfort of your kitchen. Together, we create a customised menu so you benefit the most out of this lesson. These can be demonstration or hands-on.  Hands-on classes work best when 4 people or less are in the group.

The menu is tailored to suit your needs.  You may choose 4 dishes from the list below.  One dish is required from every group to make a complete meal.

Group Parties

Why not Host a cooking party with your friends? What better way to have fun while learning how to cook your favourite dishes in the company of your friends!

Please note: a suitable kitchen, work bench, viewing area is required so all participants benefit. A hands-on class may not be suitable if there are more than 4 people in which case I recommend a demonstration style class. Participation is optional.

Please advise me if you have any allergies or special dietry requirements.

Time

Classes run for around 3 hours. Approximately 2 ½ hours are spent cooking with half an hour at the end to enjoy your meal. Times can vary depending on menu and number of participants.

Sessions are available during the day on weekdays. Morning and afternoon sessions are available on some Saturdays. For evening classes, call me to discuss or email your request to: info@normaslebanesefoods.com.au

Dates are limited for these classes so please book in advance.

- I arrive 30 minutes earlier to set up.

- For morning classes – start time 10.30am

- For afternoon classes – start time 12.00pm

Location

Classes are held in your home kitchen in Metropolitan Sydney and based within a 20km radius from Peakhurst. Travel costs incurred if distance is outside this area.

Travel charges – $.50c/km. This will be calculated ahead and results passed on for approval.

I bring with me all ingredients necessary to produce your chosen menu.

1 -2 students $300.00

3-4 students $350.00

5+ students $85/person

10+ students $75/person

15+ students $65/person

Please note: I bring my own knives. All your equipment, cutlery, glassware etc is required for use on the day. Any breakages which might occur are at your own risk. All cleaning of equipment and dishes are not done by me.

Once a date has been agreed on, a confirmed booking is required with a $100.00 deposit. The host is responsible for collecting payment from guests and balance of payment is required one week before class date.

As a courtesy, please contact me by phone 24 hours prior if you need to cancel your class. We can re-schedule to another suitable time.

Kafta – mince & spices meatball/patties

Shish Taouk – Chicken kebabs

Moujadara – Lentil & rice pilaf decorated with caramilised onions

Falafel – Chick pea fried patties

Kibbet Batarta – Potato Pie with meat & pine nut stuffing

Fatte – Chick pea & yoghurt topped with buttered Pine nuts served on toasted Lebanese bread

Daoud Basha – Kafta meatballs in tomatoe sauce & pine nuts served with Lebanese rice pilaf

Baqlawa – fillo pastrie stuffed with nuts
